Story
Trace Strider is an American rapper, lyricist, and Hip Hop producer from Dallas, TX. He got his start in music at a young age when he learned to play piano in 1st grade. Trace Strider began writing metal music and poetry in 5th grade, but always enjoyed writing short stories and creating original creative works since early elementary school. He later began focusing his energy on rap music by developing his freestyle ability and different rap flows within hip hop. He is thrilled to bring in his inspirations from Melodic Metal, film soundtrack, International Music, and early 90s hip hop to infuse varying styles into his artistry as a rapper.
In 2017, Trace Strider had written over 30 rap songs in 2 years, and decided that he would continue writing rap songs, but wanted to focus on creating clean hip hop. He saw clean lyrics as both a challenge, but also a way to introduce hip hop to his hometown of Dallas, TX. He quickly found that parents and school faculty from his hometown were much more receptive to his clean lyrics and found it to be relatable to his mentors from a young age.
Trace Strider’s biggest strength is his lyrical ability. His weaknesses include sometimes being a perfectionist and sometimes wearing too many hats at 1 time. He has found that his team has substantially helped him work through his weaknesses over the past year.
All in all, Trace Strider is a clean rapper who doesn’t sound clean. His music fits well with workout music and for all age groups. Also, his sound brings energetic vibes to the listener. When asked where he sees himself in a few years, he states that he would love to have successfully built his brand awareness in Dallas, TX and America by performing at myriads of music venues in both his hometown and America. Trace Strider also sees himself handing responsibilities over to music producers and audio engineers so he can focus solely on his lyrics and melodies, and overall stage presence in the meantime. He has a keen interest in working with American producers from all over the world and would love to work with hip hop producers from the East Coast, West Coast, and South.
